About me

About me

My name is Bartosz, pronounced ‘bartosh’.

My first ever application was a console version of “Who wants to be a millionaire” written in Pascal when I was about 13 years old. Questions were written down in a text file together with the answers. I will never forget the moment I showed it to my, then 9 yo, younger brother. He was like “wow, how did you do that?”, for a moment I was his hero, unfortunately “of the day” only.

In 2010 I graduated from high school, where I wrote my first C++ application.

Right after graduation I started studies at Poznan University of Technology, which I finished in 2015. During studies Java, C#, C++, Intel 8085 ASM, Prolog and a few other languages were introduced to me. At the third out of four years of my studies I got my first job in IT. On my tech interview I had to create a simple data storage and processing app. Up to this point I preferred Java over any other language, so my application program was written in Java, although I got employed as a C# developer.

Currently I am a C# developer with over 3 years of commercial experience. I’ve been working mainly on Contact Center and CRM systems, with a short episode as IT Sec Dev.

In my free time I play guitar, board games, tabletop RPGs, LARPs and PC games. I also have fun with my home Debian server.
